Reflections...sewn together!

submission by Barbie

This project all began back in 2001 when I got a great idea to create a t-shirt quilt for Nicole...as she graduated from high school.  How great would it be for her to "reflect" back on her grade school/high school special memories for years to come?!  My small project became quite large as the quilt included 48 t-shirt squares, 24 per side.  Each square began as 14" x 14" cut square with 4" strips dividing each row and column...large enough to be used on a twin bed!

Well, forward 11 years later, and two quilts per child (they each needed one for their college memories, too!) times 4...I just completed my 8th quilt, sewn with love and many, many special reflections and memories!  This quilt (front and back) was for my youngest daughter Lexi's 2012 graduation from the University of Arizona.   Congratulations, Lexi...and YEA for no more college tuitions!
